I have nothing to say but fantastic to Senator Noynoy Aquino's new TV Ad. Sung by Regine Velasquez and composed by Ogie Alcasid, the song "Hindi Ka Nag-iisa" resonates the theme of Aquino's campaign. Together with the star-studded cast of the TV ad and the ordinary Filipinos, below is the complete video of the TV ad. Spread the word about it!
I don't have a laptop. But I was able to use Globe Tattoo Broadband from my friend on his laptop. This internet-on-the-go tool, which makes us of a USB stick as a modem so that users can access the Web anywhere and anytime, offers a High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) that enables you to surf at high speeds but varies in different areas.
Below are some helpful tips so that you can use your Globe Tattoo Broadband more effectively (from Cher's blog post):
Check if your area is included in the HSDPA listing. This will save you a lot of frustrations and calling up the customer service from time to time. As a reference of the variable internet speeds depending on the signal, here's a screenshot of the chart from the Globe Tattoo's official site.
If you're going to be spending several hours just browsing or downloading media, it's better to set your browsing status to Time-based. The setting for all Globe Tattoo SIMS by default is Time-based. You will be charged Php5.00 for 15 minutes.
If you're just going to quickly check an email or a site, set your browsing status to a "Per-KB" browsing. You will be charged only 15 centavos per kilobyte. To switch from Time-based to Per-KB browsing just text KB to 1111 using your Globe Tattoo SIM.
To check your default browsing, text STATUS to 1111.
Globe Tattoo Broadband also sees the uniqueness in every internet user. They offer cool skins for their users. Now, that's really a great experience when you have a Globe Tattoo Broadband with a skin that suits your personality.
When I was contacted by one of Senator Mar Roxas' staff last Tuesday and asked for my home address, I was wondering why. Then, I came to realize that Senator Roxas and Korina Sanchez' wedding will be this October 27 and probably, I am in the list of the invited guests.
I knew it! I got the invitation last October 22, together with my PIN from Google Adsense (finally!).
Tomorrow morning, I will be flying by plane and will go straight to Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City where the wedding will take place. I was worried that I can't bring a digicam for this momentous event, but no worries because a Senate staff told me that there will be lots of photographers who will be there.
This sponsor award given by Chikka.Com, the leading brand in online texting (which I really use when I'm out of cellphone load), for the said event.
To vote for my blog, text CHIKKARC V9 and send it to 2929 for Smart and Globe subscribers. That's costs you Php 2.50. 1 TEXT is equivalent to 3 VOTES, so the more TEXTS you send, the more VOTES will be credited to my blog. I would be very thankful for that.
Voting period is October 14 to 17 so be sure to vote for this blog before that date. Thanks a lot in advance for your support!
Without a doubt, (and I can attest to it) CBS has become one of the most important blogging groups in the Philippines with its sense of camaraderie, unity, respect and cooperation among its member bloggers. It has continued to raise the standard to blogging here in Cebu and continues to deliver its tagline: "Promoting Cebu through Blogs."
As one of the founders of CBS, a lot has changed since it started. I thought it was impossible to unite Cebu-based bloggers under one group. But that idea was defeated. Despite the differences of every member, we still find our commonalities. Then there's the civility. Probably, we may differ on our views online but we still remain civil offline as this is the nature of the group.
With more and more new members joining CBS, I can foresee that this will be the premiere blogging group not only in Cebu, but also in the entire Philippines.
Another Filipino pride is on the verge of being the CNN Hero for 2009. This can be possible if we unite as a one nation, voting online for Efren Peñaflorida, a Filipino, who gives the Filipino youth an alternative to gang membership through education. His Dynamic Teen Company's 10,000 members have taught basic reading and writing to 1,500 kids living in the slums.
With his pushcart classes, he is helping the young ones who can't go to school to be educated. Efren Peñaflorida offers the Filipino youth an alternative to gang membership through education.
Let us help make Efren Peñaflorida the CNN Hero for 2009. As of now, he is one of the Top 10 nominees for this prestigious award.
Together with my Cebu Bloggers Society(CBS) family, we were invited for a food trip by Cebu's Orange Brutus in their MEPZA Branch (it's far far away from where I believe but I was still there though I was a bit late).
They are promoting their new Budget Meals that is affordable to everyone, especially US students who are always on a budget when we eat.
They also want to erase the notion that they're too late when it comes to preparing food. Take note, Orange Brutus cooks and prepares your food while you order. Other fastfood chains love to prepare your food and it stays their, waiting for someone to order it. Now that's a big difference.
Thanks to Mrs. Loeren Ortega-Atillo, Orange Brutus' Marketing Officer and Ms. Nina Kokseng – Misa, Orange Brutus' Executive Assistant for accommodating us. We really had fun!
Chicken Steak
This one took my eyes from the traditional beef steak. Although Orange Brutus is the home of the best burger steak, I can't wonder how this one tastes. I grab a bite, and I can't get enough. I wanted to have one but the other yummy foods just took me away.
Beef Teriyaki
Who would have thought that this was the Beef Teriyaki. At first, I wonder what it was. No one told me then. I asked my fellow blogger, Sinjin Pineda, on what it was. Ahh... it's the Beef Teriyaki! It was quite different from the others because it was a bit sweet. Tastes good!
Chocolate Monster
Now this one really sealed everything! One bite just kept me from getting more! The Chocolate was no monster for me because it didn't look scary but it became monstrous when I had to grab for me. The taste of real chocolate really delighted my mouth. I wonder how they made this one.
